I don't like horses either. I also don't particularly care for dogs, but I liked "Travels with Charley." Just goes to show how a good author can make you forget he's talking about stuff you don't really care about. Good review.

I enjoyed Travels with Charley too, but then, it is Steinbeck; he’s hard to dislike.

I don’t hear a lot of people talk about him, which is a shame. Do you have a favorite book of his?
I will add Blood Sport to my list and hopefully I can convince more people to read his stuff.
